KiteXcite is the most popular kiteboarding school in the Dominican Republic, offering beginner through advanced courses for kids and adults. KiteXcite was the very first kite school here in Cabarete, launched in 1999 by Kiteboarding veteran, Stefan Rüther. We’re situated right on the beach of Kite Beach, Cabarete. Perfect wind conditions, sandy beaches, sun and the special magic of the Caribbean, makes KiteXcite one of the best places in the world for a kiteboarding vacation.We usually have some special kiteboarding and accommodation packages on offer.

The KiteXcite School is adjacent to KiteXcite Beach Hotels, which offers ocean-front rooms, a swimming pool, Wi-Fi internet and a restaurant, accessible to all Kitexcite guests. In addition to kiteboarding lessons, Kitexcite provides kite repair, rental, and storage on location at Kite Beach, Cabarete.

We originated and continue to use radio helmets with our kiteboarding instruction. With radio helmets the instructors guide the student every step of the way. Day 1 – Level 1

This kiteboarding lesson is the first step to accelerating your learning curve and stay safe and get you in the Water.

 Learn:

• Steering and control of a Trainer-kite on the beach.
• Safety systems, pre-flight check of a 4-line-kite.
• Steering and control of a 4-line-kite on the beach.
• Launching and landing a full-sized inflatable kite.

Included:

• 2.5 hr private with Stefan
• practice with private Instructor assistant for the rest of the day
• Full gear: kiteboard, harness, leash, helmet, safety life jacket, kite

Day 2 – Level 2

Learn to control the Kite in the water, experience the true power of the kite. This is the next step in order to get up and stand up!

Learn:

• kite-control in the water, body-drag
• Generating steady power with the kite
• Body dragging in the Water
• Board recovery without using a board leash
• flying the kite one-handed and blind

 Included:

• 2.5 hr private with Stefan
• practice with private Instructor assistant for the rest of the day

1 Day Private $250

Day 3 – Level 3

Learn to ride! This full day lesson emphasizes board control and riding. By the end of this lesson you will be standing up and on your way to being able to ride upwind.

• Simulated Water Starts
• First Water Starts
• riding downwind

 Included:

• 2.5 hr private with Stefan
• Kiteboarding with private Instructor assistant for the rest of the day
• Full gear: kiteboard, harness, leash, helmet, safety life jacket, kite

1 Day Private $250

It takes time to master all the aspects of the course and getting up on a kiteboard could take 1-2 days of lessons.
