What do I need to have for my kiteboarding lessons

Congartulations you want to learn to kiteboard! Taking kitesurfing lessons is a wise decision when you want to learn kiteboarding. Our Cabarete kiteboarding school has lates and best kiteboarding kites, boards and gear, but there are a few small things you might want to bring along to your kiteboarding lessons in Cabarete Kite Beach, Dominican Republic…

We recommend people taking kiteboarding/ kitesurfing lessons to have the following:

1. Water-proof Sun protection cream, at least factor 30.
2. Sun glasses – for the first kite surfing lessons when you're on the beach and looking up learning to move the trainer kite you'll often be staring the sun in the eye, so it's good having sunglasses.
3. for girls: Board-shorts are better than a bikini, and will help prevent rashes or friction from the harness in sensitive inner-thigh areas.
4. Footware – in the Dominican Republic Cabarete Kite Beach you don't need special water footware, but if you go learning kiteboarding in a place with sea-urchines or other nasties in water then you may need it.
5. If your hands are very soft you may want to consider a pair of sports gloves. Cycling gloves would work, and if you're budgetting- even a pair of ordinary yellow dishwashing gloves would do the trick… useful in emergencies if you cannot find kitesurfing gloves in your vacation location, though very un-cool looking!
