Why paraglide at Cabarete? Isn't it too windy for paragliding in Cabarete Kite Beach?

Even though it is almost always windy here in Cabarete and great for kitesurfing or to learn kiteboarding, there are the odd days where there is no wind. It is on days like these when we get out the paragliders!
This means no longer sitting around waiting for wind but a whole new experience and adrenaline rush instead!

We have a winch system installed in our rescue boat. Basically this system allows us to release 800 meters of rope with a constant pressure in order to tow up paragliders over Cabarete Bay. We already realized several flights reaching heights until 600 meters.

From now on be certain that there will be no more such things as boring no-wind days. As soon the wind goes under 8 knots our paragliding instructor gets ready for action…

Launch from the beach, tow up to maximum altitude and then just release the tow line and fly down freely… As for kitesurfing different styles are possible from a smooth glide enjoying the amazing view over Cabarete to a full speed spiral dive and some aerobatic tricks.
